MISSION STATEMENT:
The Dooley House was founded
in 1988 by Mr. Emery Troy and Rev. Calvin Wallsten. Dooley
House's doors opened in December of 1989.
Dooley House, Inc. is a
nonprofit organization established to provide a holistic
continuum of care to medically fragile infants, children, adults
and families with a particular emphasis on those stricken with
HIV/AIDS.
Through an integral network
of support services, we strive to meet the medical, social,
educational, housing, and other needs to the ever-changing
communities we serve.
The common denominator for
the diverse range of individuals we care for is to enhance their
quality of life by providing a safe haven for personal and
family growth, filled with love and rooted in dignity.
As of 1997, Dooley House
accepts medically fragile children and incorporated various
programs such as the Hogan House, Peer Mentors, and Special
Medical transportation into their dream to better accommodate
the needs of the growing community.
YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE !
Dooley House, Inc., receives funds from many sources,
including federal, state and city government agencies.
Government funding is, however, becoming more limited.
Fortunately, government sources are not our only contributors.
The business community and the general public are valued
supporters of Dooley House. We depend on your support to
operate the programs included in our mission statement.
