Home for HIV/ AIDS or Medically Fragile Children
A SHARED DREAM FOR CHILDREN
Dooley House was founded in 1988 by:
Mr. Emery Troy and
Rev. Calvin M. Wallsten.
They had a common dream to provide a loving homelike facility for children born with HIV/
AIDS. The first home, Dooley House opened in December of 1989, just eleven months after
they formed the non-profit corporation.
Since then the dream has grown, with a dedicated Board of Directors and Staff . Dooley
House now accepts most medically fragile children and six other programs have been added.
Dooley House provides a residence for medically fragile children, 24 hours a day 365 days
a year. In this homelike atmosphere, an On Call Physician, registered nurses and health
care assistants provide the necessary medical & personal care to keep the children
healthy and happy every day of their stay at Dooley House.
